Equal1 to Present Silicon Quantum Computing Research at SiQEW and ICOSS 2026

September 1, 2026

Equal1, a leader in silicon-based quantum computing, will participate in the 2026 Silicon Quantum Electronics Workshop (SiQEW) and International Conference on Silicon Spintronics (ICOSS) in Incheon, South Korea, where its research team will present advances in silicon quantum computing technology.

As part of the technical program, Andrii Sokolov, Quantum Architecture Lead at Equal1, will deliver a main-stage presentation titled “Quantum Simulation of Si/SiGe Devices with Experimentally Calibrated Micromagnet Effects.” The presentation will explore simulation techniques for silicon/silicon-germanium (Si/SiGe) quantum devices, contributing to the development and optimization of silicon-spin qubit architectures.

Equal1 researchers Andrii Sokolov, Xutong Wu and Conor Power also will present research posters highlighting the company's ongoing work in silicon quantum technology. The company's participation reflects its commitment to advancing silicon quantum computing through fundamental research, semiconductor engineering and collaboration with the global quantum research community.

Advancing Silicon Quantum Computing from Research to Deployment

Equal1 is pioneering a silicon-based approach to quantum computing that leverages established semiconductor manufacturing processes to enable scalable, commercially deployable quantum systems.

The company's research supports the continued development of RacQ, Equal1's rack-mounted, hybrid quantum-classical computer, designed to integrate directly into existing data center environments. By combining advances in qubit architecture, device simulation and semiconductor technology with system-level engineering, Equal1 is working to accelerate the transition of quantum computing from specialized research laboratories to real-world applications in AI, materials science, chemistry and other computationally intensive industries.
