Equal1 CEO, Jason Lynch, has been named NovaUCD 2026 CEO of the Year as part of the 2026 NovaUCD Innovation Awards, which celebrate outstanding achievements in knowledge transfer, consultancy, entrepreneurship and the promotion of an innovation culture within University College Dublin's (UCD) research and start-up communities.

This recognition really reflects the work happening across the team. As Jason put it, "the engineering to build quantum computers at scale is some of the most challenging in the world today."

Over the past year, that's meant turning progress into something tangible, from introducing a rack-mounted quantum system designed for data centers, to expanding partnerships and pushing closer to scalable quantum computing.
