New Joint Scientific Paper on CMOS Integrated Circuits for Quantum Computing Published in IEEE

August 22, 2023

Equal1 is pleased to announce the publication of a significant joint scientific paper in the inaugural issue of IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering. The paper, titled "CMOS Integrated Circuits for Quantum Information Sciences," devotes 30 pages to the role of integrated circuits in powering a range of quantum computers, quantum communication and quantum sensing.

The article, drafted by 30 authors from well-known companies and universities, reviews some of the early integrated circuits for quantum information sciences. The paper elaborates on CMOS and BiCMOS integrated circuits across different quantum realms, including nuclear magnetic resonance, nitrogen-vacancy-based magnetometry, trapped-ion, superconductor, and quantum-dot-based quantum computing.

Contributing organizations include the University of Massachusetts Amherst, MIT, University College Dublin, Harvard University, Delft University of Technology, Equal1, IonQ, Google, Cornell University, University of Toronto, and U.C. Berkeley, among others.
