Equal1 has partnered with the Polytechnic University of Timișoara (UPT) to conduct the Quantum Hub workshop at the UPT Central Library in Romania. The workshop explored opportunities within the emerging quantum ecosystem in Timișoara and across Romania.
Equal1 CTO Brendan Barry presented Equal1's quantum-on-chip which integrates all quantum computing components onto a single chip for precision, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Equal1 has played a crucial role in shaping both the structure and content of the Master's program in Quantum Computing, set to launch in October 2024 at the university. During the workshop, Val Mureșan, manager of Equal1's Romania R&D center, gave an overview of the new Master's program and extended an invitation to academics and industry representatives to contribute.
The event was organized by Prof. Mihai Udrescu (UPT) and Mureșan (Equal1), with support from the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT), Romania section. The UPT Quantum Hub is part of the national research project RoNaQCI - Romanian National Quantum Communication Infrastructure.
