Equal1 is thrilled to announce our recent accolade at the Tech Excellence Awards, where we were honored with the Startup Award. Our CEO, Jason Lynch, accepted the accolade during the black-tie ceremony held at Dublin's Royal Marine Hotel.
Established in 2002, the Tech Excellence Awards celebrate the most innovative and successful players in Ireland’s IT and startup sector, bringing together local and multinational companies, as well as academic institutions. Competing in 23 categories, participants are recognized for their exceptional contributions to technology implementation in business.
“Receiving the Startup Award is an endorsement from our peers in the industry,” says Lynch. “More than that, it's an acknowledgement of our significant strides in the field of quantum computing, particularly our pioneering Quantum System-on-a-Chip (QSoC) processors. These processors represent a paradigm shift in quantum computing by integrating an entire quantum system within a single, programmable chip, created using a cost-effective foundry process.”
At the heart of quantum computing is quantum mechanics, the foundational framework of nature. Unlike classical computing which relies on binary bits (0 or 1), quantum computing utilizes quantum bits or qubits. These qubits, capable of existing in a superposition of both 0 and 1 simultaneously, enable vastly parallel computation, unlocking untold computational power.
Leveraging our innovative QSoC processors — quantum silicon that integrates complete quantum computing systems onto one chip — Equal1 is at the forefront of developing revolutionary desktop quantum computers.
