RF Systems Engineer
You will lead/participate in projects involving the modelling, design, verification, and measurements of RF and Signal Integrity of current and future Equal1 quantum computers. You will be part of an engineering team to work on the current and next-generation product performance verifications. This role will require close collaboration with multiple teams across IC Design, Layout, Packaging, Board, Product Engineer, Test & Measurement, Quantum Engineering and Software. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Design RF measurement apparatus using modules such as switches, attenuators, LNAs, resonators, and impedance matching circuits.

Design Evaluation, performing first silicon characterization and detailed analysis.
System-level timing analysis considering effects from silicon IO, package, and board. -
Electromagnetic modelling of 2.5-D and 3-D structures on a variety of novel and commercial available materials both embedded in the silicon to external interfaces.

Work closely with a cross-functional team and internal working group on current and next-gen quantum processors in meeting signal integrity requirements.

Collaborate with task force groups for signal measurement test plans analysis and improvements.

Resolve challenges in the areas of high-speed board design, power, and analogue signal integrity.

Experience in lab evaluation of initial silicon, programming, and data analysis in C, or Python.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
This position requires detailed knowledge of some of the following:​

A minimum of 5 years experience related and progressive experience.

The candidate should possess skills necessary to innovate, design, simulate and verify RF system performance at the transistor level, behavioral/architectural level, and should have a strong RF understanding.

Experience in circuit design environments such as Cadence, or ADS.

Transmission line theory and microwave engineering concepts such as S-parameter and RF networks.

Hands-on experience for RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzers and network analyzers, load pull, etc.).

Knowledge of System aspects such as Noise Figure, Phase Noise, IIP3, ACI, BER, PER, and Spurious Analysis.

Experience in analog simulation with Hspice, ADS, ANSYS, or other toolsets.

Experience in 3-D and 2.5-D modelling with ANSYS HFSS/Q3D.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, physics or related discipline, M.Sc. or Ph.D.
