Senior Analog/RF IC Engineer
We are seeking a senior Analog/RF IC Engineer specializing in mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge mixed-signal quantum processor ICs. You will also get to work with a multi-disciplinary team of quantum physicists, algorithm development engineers, RF circuit, digital designers, software engineers and AI/machine learning engineers to create a scalable 1 million qubits quantum computer. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Developing detailed circuit specifications, making analysis for performance, power, noise and area, using modelling techniques.

Circuit performance analysis using SPICE simulations and Python post processing.

Detailed transistor-level circuit design implementation, and integration to higher level blocks.

Perform mixed-signal transient, AC, PSS, and sensitivity simulation and modelling.
Design and integrate high-frequency synthesizer design for RF clock generation and distribution. -
Developing algorithms for circuit calibration and optimization.

Sufficient familiarity with synthesizer design for RF clock generation and distribution.

Experience with RF circuit design such as VCOs, mixers, active filters, LNA is desired.

Experience with EM simulation and parasitic extraction for RF circuit design.

I/O driver/receiver modelling for state-of-the-art high-speed interfaces.

Measure and calibrate circuit performance in a lab environment, including developing Python or C-based measurements.

Working collaboratively with a wider team of engineers across many disciplines.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
This position requires detailed knowledge of some of the following:​

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC design roles.

Practical experience in mixed-signal IC design, a good understanding of analog circuits such as ADC, DAC, low power clocking and distribution, OTA and filter design.

Deep understanding of analog circuit design principles, mixed-signal simulation, and layout techniques for very low power consumption.

Strong background in advanced semiconductor technologies, and device physics, particularly for FDX22SOI or similar process nodes.

Proficiency in EDA tools such as Cadence or Synopsys for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and verification.

Experience with Verilog-A/AMS for behavioral modelling and system-level verification.

Experience with low-power design techniques, clock and power distribution, and on-chip interconnects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex mixed-signal issues.

Knowledge of digital design concepts and methodologies, including RTL coding and logic synthesis.

Hands-on experience for RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers and network analyzers).
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, physics or related discipline, M.Sc. or Ph.D.
